With a hundred paintings and drawings, the exhibition “Magritte” considers the work of the painter in light of his passion for philosophy and provides context for his work in the history of art\u00a0and concept of beauty. Within the scope of the great retrospectives devoted to the art of the 20th Century\u00a0at the Centre Pompidou, this exhibition proposes, with the support of\u00a0archival documents, a novel approach to Magritte’s surrealism which the curator Didier Ottinger describes as “reasoning”.<\/em><\/p>\n
