The online publication Photography and Orality<\/em> <\/a>presents dialogues with seventeen photographers from Mali and Senegal who reflect on their artistic practice, production conditions and the concept of communication through their work.<\/p>\n

Comments from curators, fellow-artists, art historians and theorists expand the perspective. Videos and transcripts of the interviews are displayed in parallel with images of the artists’ work.<\/p>\n

Visual, oral and written knowledge is thus woven into an ongoing narrating process, a story of telling and re-telling that can be defined as orality.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
