Images curieuses<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>L&#8217;ESPRIT &amp; LES FANTO\u0302MES est un rendez-vous mensuel autour d&#8217;une se\u0301lection de courts-me\u0301trages et d&#8217;extraits de films dont l&#8217;ambition est d&#8217;interroger le phe\u0301nome\u0300ne de l&#8217;enregistrement filmique comme relevant a\u0300 la fois d&#8217;une production de l&#8217;esprit et d&#8217;une apparition spectrale.<\/p>\n<p>De\u0300s ses premiers de\u0301buts, le cine\u0301ma s&#8217;inte\u0301resse a\u0300 la magie, au surnaturel et aux phe\u0301nome\u0300nes occultes dont il produit nombre d&#8217;images. Depuis les Danses serpentines de Loi\u0308e Fuller en 1892 en lesquelles Mallarme\u0301 voit l&#8217;incarnation de l&#8217;utopie symbolique et la re\u0301union d&#8217;une \u00ab ivresse d\u2019art \u00bb et d&#8217;un \u00ab accomplissement industriel \u00bb, les artistes expe\u0301rimentent avec la lumie\u0300re, les fanto\u0302mes et les visions que le cine\u0301ma peut repre\u0301senter mieux que n&#8217;importe quel autre me\u0301dium. Partant de Rainbow Dance d&#8217;Antoine Pevsners, des expe\u0301rimentations du Bauhaus comme le the\u0301a\u0302tre total de Walther Gropius, Oskar Fischinger et Moholy-Nagy, ou encore des effets de montage, de la projection multiple et des truquages, en passant par le bal costume\u0301 de Man Ray qui projetait un 9lm de Me\u0301lie\u0300s sur les invite\u0301s tous costume\u0301s de blanc, ou encore par les projections sur le ciel, les nuages et le brouillard de Nicolas Scho\u0308ffer, jusqu&#8217;aux expe\u0301rimentations cine\u0301matographiques avec la lumie\u0300re d&#8217;Anthony McCall Solid Light Films, l&#8217;histoire des films abonde en esprits et fanto\u0302mes, qui apparaissent au cine\u0301ma comme une me\u0301taphore de la pense\u0301e.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;ensemble de la programmation forme un parcours a\u0300 travers l&#8217;histoire du 20e sie\u0300cle et se propose d&#8217;envisager la mate\u0301rialite\u0301 du cine\u0301ma comme une apparition spectrale. L&#8217;omnipre\u0301sence du motif spectral dans la critique des totalitarismes et des ide\u0301ologies, du capitalisme et du communisme, repose sur une se\u0301mantique de l&#8217;image trompeuse. Gra\u0302ce a\u0300 leur pouvoir magique et leur richesse se\u0301mantique, les fanto\u0302mes peuvent ne\u0301anmoins mener aussi a\u0300 une forme de re\u0301ve\u0301lation.
